Things to pass the time

So I've been telling my wife for a few weeks I need to update my blog and I never do. Then she writes a post about her favorite blogs to visit and read. Sadly I didn't make the cut, but when I only update every 3 months or so I understand why. ;) love ya babe.

So this entry is not so much about whats new in my life because work is the good but the same, school is school and I'm ready to be done with it, ha ha ha. Instead this blog is about the things I love to do in my free time and why I love to do them. Some of these are things I do alone and other with my wife. (dirty, people come on I wouldn't talk about that on a blog) Lets play a game and see if you can guess which is which.

First on the list is watching tv or in my case Netflix. I love this thing. We don't have cable or satalite and with how wonderful Netlix is I don't see us getting them anytime soon. Lets break it down into a list of the shows in our queue and you can guess what ones are shows we watch together or seperately.
The Big Bang Theory

Phineas and Ferb

So thats a list of shows we watch there are others we have on DVD like House. So lets throw that in there as well. Okay as for the list we watch together. It might surprise you: The Big Bang Theory, Lie to Me, Battle Star Galatica, Phineas and Ferb, Bones, House and Greek. I love all these shows and I love that my wife is geeky enough to watch shows I got her into like BSG and Big Bang Theory. At the same time because of her I watch Greek. Though when I watch it, it means I came home and she had it on so I watched it with her, but I do like the show. We also watch How I met your mother but come on who doesn't. If you said you don't then you clearly are not as awesome as us.

Reading, both comics and books. Is this together or seperate. The answer is both, we both love to read and some nights we climb into bed early and just read for a few hours. So that is together plus sometimes we read the same series like The Hunger Games. I read my comics by my self. I haven't got her to read one of those yet. The book series I've been reading lately is one by Robin Hobb.
Here is why this series is cool. It's a set of 3 trilogys; The Farseer Trilogy, The Live Ship Traders Trilogy and The Tawny Man Trilogy. These books are all conected with different characters and even though the actions they take affect the people in the other books they don't really know each other. The Farseer and Tawny Man are the same people in each book but The Tawn Man takes place 15 years later. It's pretty sweet.

Video Games. This is something I mainly do alone but Misty has tried some of the games. Like World of Goo and Toy Story 3. Even though she gets frustrated when something doesn't work the way she wants it to I'm still happy she tried. I own all three systems cause lets face it my wife is awesome.


X-Box 360 is my favorite and I've been playing Assassains Creed Brotherhood. This game is beautiful done from graphics to story and gameplay.


On the PS3 I'm really looking forward to buying the God of War games and playing those.


On the Wii any Zelda game is a must.

Going to the movies is another activity we love to do. We haven't gone to as many lately but on Tuesday we went and saw "I am number four" it was awesome! Plus going during the week is the way to do it, we spent almost half what we normally do.

So for now that's my list, nothing really out of the box or anything but it's still fun. We are also starting to train for a bike race in June so riding bikes will be added to this list of things we love to do together. Thats it for now thanks for reading and see ya next time.
